Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for research and innovation engineering, using different and new disruptive technologies, with strong proficiency in software programming and solution architecting on top of a deep understanding of agile project management, UIUX and design thinking. A strategic and experienced technologist; focused on capitalizing the full capabilities of the Bank and technology to lead innovation activities with the goal of providing innovative / transformative solutions to deliver impactful business values.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Innovation and Technology Research

  • Develop and articulate technical strategies, identifying and evaluating potential applications of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, LLMs, blockchain, cloud computing, quantum etc) to address complex business challenges and strategic opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment and driving progress using Agile methodologies.

Product Development & Prototyping

  • Collaborate with UX Design team and product development to gain in-depth understanding of business needs.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and Solution Architects, to influence the technology development strategies and ensure alignment with intended business outcomes
  • Define and maintain a clear prototype/POC delivery handover process from the research-state (lab) to the business-aligned technology units making sure the knowledge and expertise transfer is planned and executed in timely manner
  • Co-own and significantly contribute to the overarching Project/System Architecture Design for large-scale, complex initiatives, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term strategy.
  • Maintain and enforce IT project management practices, governance standards, processes and key performance metrics to ensure compliance to the Bank's standards and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, with knowledge in Cloud, Software Architecture, Solution Dev.
  • Authoritative in application of technology in solving business problems and driving innovations.
  • Functional knowledge in Agile and Scrum.
  • At least minimum 5 years working experience in IT industry with experience in software development, IT infrastructure, design and solution architecture.
  • Experience in innovating and building new market offerings/digital products, with proven track record of success.
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum practices.
  • Experience in Digital and Business Transformation is a plus.
