About the Role
- Duopharma Biotech Berhad is seeking a high-calibre strategic leader to drive corporate transformation and strategic delivery across the Group. This role works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to formulate, implement, and monitor corporate strategies to achieve sustainable growth, operational excellence, governance integrity, and long-term stakeholder value.
- This is a senior leadership role with strong Board-level visibility and enterprise-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Board of Directors in business plan formulation and implement approved plans to achieve corporate goals, objectives and key business results
- Provide inspirational leadership across operating units and business areas, ensuring high levels of motivation, performance orientation, and alignment of stakeholder needs with corporate strategy
- Conceive, prepare, and execute business strategic plans to achieve stakeholders objectives
- Ensure achievement of business goals and enhancement of stakeholder value by driving business development and operational efficiency across all divisions
- Establish systematic processes for scanning emerging business conditions and reviewing vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and values
- Ensure effective development and implementation of strategic plans to support growth and profitability aligned with the Group's Vision, Mission, Core Values and Strategic Objectives
- Continuously improve reliability, output, efficiency, productivity, safety, health and environmental standards by evaluating capital expenditure proposals and enhancing operational procedures in line with regulatory and international standards
- Ensure adequacy and integrity of internal control systems and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies and corporate governance practices
- Identify principal risks and implement appropriate systems to manage enterprise-wide risk exposure
- Promote knowledge development, technology utilisation, operational professionalism, and continuous organisational improvement
- Provide strategic and business-related advice to the Board of Directors of the Employer and Boards of Directors of other subsidiary companies of the Employer in which the Employee is appointed to
- Develop, build and maintain strong and effective relationships of the Employer and its group of companies with relevant external agencies such as regulatory bodies, research and development agencies (including but not limited to universities and other institutions of higher learning), government agencies and bodies (including but not limited to government-linked agencies and bodies), investing public as well as trade associations and institutions
- Review and/or develop broad operating policies and guidelines for resource allocation, utilisation and standards for performance evaluation to ensure the continued maintenance of a result oriented corporate culture
- Ensure security of assets of the Employer and its group of companies by developing, implementing and updating comprehensive asset utilisation policies and methods
- Manage Board of Directors communications and create conditions for timely decision-making and execution
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations by reviewing policies and monitoring compliance
- From time to time, undertake special and other relevant projects as needed to support the overall business strategy of the Employer and its group of companies
- Optimise profits of the Employer and its group of companies via execution of operational excellence programs which includes but not limited to the Manufacturing Optimisation Strategy; and via development of new products and/or markets which includes but not limited to commercialisation of highly active pharmaceutical ingredient (HAPI) and erythropoietin products, conclusion of commercial agreement for vaccine, plasma and regenerative medicines, conclusion of agreement to secure biologics manufacturing facility, potential merger and acquisition exercise, secure funding for the planned projects, and raise fund via capital market (e.g. rights issue) to de-gear the Employer
- Steer the Human Resource strategies for the Employer and its group of companies which includes but not limited to succession planning for the management team, talent management and employee engagement programs
- To lead and drive a successful corporate re-branding exercise for the Employer and its group of companies
- Achieve the goals and targets as determined from time to time by the Superior Officer
- And such other tasks, duties and powers as the Superior Officer from time to time directs and, subject to the relevant limits of authority as determined from time to time, enter into contracts on behalf of the Employer and its group of companies in the ordinary course of business and do and perform all other acts and things in the ordinary course of business which may be considered necessary or proper in the interest of the Employer or other members of the Duopharma Group of Companies.

Requirements
- Degree in any related field of study
- At least 7 years of working experience
