Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Managing Director, based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with partial flexibility for remote work. As Managing Director of Yayasan Strategik Lestari (YSL), my role is to set the organisation's direction and lead our policy and strategic research work. I also supervise the research team to ensure the quality of our findings and translate research into clear, practical recommendations for key stakeholders. My role focuses on setting project priorities, leading people, coordinating projects, and producing evidence-based insights that support stronger policies and long-term sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership abilities, team management, and strategic decision-making skills
• Strong financial planning, budgeting, and resource management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills
• Experience with organizational development, change management, and fostering company culture
• Knowledge in the non-profit or sustainable development sectors is an asset
• Commitment to innovation, sustainability, and achieving long-term organizational goals
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Proficiency in leveraging technology and digital tools for operations and team collaboration
