Mandarin/Cantonese Interpreter (Work from Home)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mandarin or Cantonese Interpreter to join our remote team. You will be responsible for facilitating accurate communication between English and Mandarin/Cantonese speakers, ensuring clarity, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate meaning-for-meaning interpretation between English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Facilitate smooth communication in real-time across various situations.
• Follow all interpreter protocols, training guidelines, and procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• High School / SPM / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in any field.
• Fluency in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese (spoken and written).
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Basic understanding of linguistics and cultural differences.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 0–5 years of experience in interpretation or a related field.
• Ability to provide accurate interpretation in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and active listening skills.
