Mandarin Language Teacher
Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The Mandarin Language Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality Mandarin language instruction to students, fostering their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin. The role aims to develop students cultural understanding and appreciation of the Chinese language while supporting the school's academic standards and international curriculum. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Mandarin Language Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and international education standards.
- Develop students Mandarin proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and classroom participation, and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and language practice.
- Integrate Chinese culture, traditions, and contemporary topics into lessons to enhance students cultural understanding.
- Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, and resources to support effective learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students progress and development when required.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support cross-curricular learning and school initiatives.
Line management
The
Mandarin Language Teacher will report to the
Head of Secondary.
Qualifications And Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in
Education or any other relevant fields.
Experience And Skills
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of work experience in Mandarin Language
