Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Assembly Management

  • Plan, schedule, and manage daily assembly operations for complex semiconductor equipment.
  • Ensure production output meets design specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, QA, and Logistics to ensure alignment on production goals.
  • Monitor WIP (Work-In-Progress) and bottlenecks, taking corrective actions to avoid delays.

2. People Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and assemblers.
  • Manage team performance, set clear KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Promote a culture of discipline, safety, accountability, and teamwork.

3. Quality & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain rigorous in-process quality checks and final testing standards.
  • Work closely with QA to resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support internal and customer audits as required.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement using lean manufacturing, 6S, and Kaizen.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, scrap reduction, and yield improvement.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on design-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvements.

5. Equipment and Resource Management

  • Ensure availability and maintenance of assembly tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Oversee material usage and inventory control in coordination with warehouse and material teams.
  • Support the implementation of MES or ERP systems for better tracking and control.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in production/assembly, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing or high-tech system integration is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom requirements, vacuum systems, motion control, or robotics is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MES systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Hands-on, results-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
