Job Description

If you're an experienced Operations Manager who's spent years mastering structured, corporate environments, but deep down you're ready for more autonomy, more influence, and more ownership, this opportunity is built for you.

My client is looking for a seasoned Operations Manager who thinks like an owner and wants the freedom to shape how a business runs, not just maintain it.

This is the role for you if you're in that point of your career where you want to lead with confidence, make real decisions, and see your impact, fast.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe production activities.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, manpower allocation, and workflow coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
  • Monitor key operational KPIs and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees to build a strong operational team.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues and enhance overall performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for production-related challenges.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing or production leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience setting up ERP systems and ISO certification is a major added advantage
  • Proven ability to manage teams and foster a culture of accountability and engagement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in heavy industries (metal / wood) is an added advantage.

What's in It For You

  • Competitive salary, housing and above market norm performance bonuses
  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development
  • True autonomy to run operations your way
  • Authority to make decisions quickly without red tape
  • A chance to build and improve, not just follow legacy processes
  • Visibility and influence at the leadership table
  • A culture that values experience, not bureaucracy
  • The satisfaction of seeing your ideas come to life immediately
