Objective
To effectively plan, coordinate and monitor production activities to optimize capacity and workflow, minimize WIP, improve productivity, and ensure on-time delivery in line with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Plan production based on customer demand, delivery requirements, material availability and machine capacity.
- Monitor production progress and proactively identify delays, bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Business Unit teams.
- Monitor WIP and ensure jobs progress smoothly through each production process.
- Adjust production schedules according to changing priorities and urgent customer requirements.
- Track planned vs. actual production performance and highlight gaps.
- Follow up with production teams to ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
- Support initiatives to improve productivity, reduce WIP and shorten production lead times.
- Prepare regular production planning and performance reports for management.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in production planning or manufacturing.
- Experience in a CNC machining, precision engineering or machine shop environment will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication and coordination skills. Able to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, disciplined and willing to work closely with the shop floor.
