Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair and maintain marine navigation, communication and fishery electronic systems onboard vessels.
Service equipment such as Radar, GPS/GNSS, AIS, ECDIS, Autopilot, Echo Sounder, Sonar, Fish Finder, VHF/MF/HF Radio, Satellite Communication and VDR systems.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, harbour tests, sea trials, equipment commissioning, retrofit and upgrade projects.
Perform equipment inspections, support GMDSS Radio Surveys and VDR Annual Performance Tests (APT), and prepare related service and survey documentation.
Provide onsite and remote technical support, liaise with customers, shipyards and contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.
Prepared detailed service and job completion reports.
Ensure proper use and care of company tools and test equipment.
Requirements
Mandatory experience supporting or conducting GMDSS Radio Surveys and familiarity with marine regulatory inspection requirements.
Experience in marine electronics, navigation and communication systems, including installation, servicing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
Hands-on experience with marine equipment such as Radar, GPS/GNSS, AIS, ECDIS, Autopilot, Sonar, Fish Finder, VHF/MF/HF Radio, Satellite Communication and VDR systems.
Strong fault-finding, analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Knowledge of computer networking, electronic communication systems, ISO procedures (i.e., ISO 9001), JSA, RA and Permit-to-Work requirements.
Willing to travel extensively within Malaysia and overseas.
