Job Description

As Head of Market Access & Policy, you'll lead the development and execution of strategies that secure sustainable patient access to Sandoz medicines across Malaysia & role drives pricing, reimbursement, tender excellence, and government affairs activities while shaping the external environment to support business growth. As a key strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders, the role ensures that market access considerations are fully integrated into portfolio, launch, and policy decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design and implement market access and pricing strategies to secure timely reimbursement and optimal pricing for new and existing products.
  • Identify and address access barriers through innovative models, data-driven proposals, and proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Shape policy discussions and influence decisions related to pricing, reimbursement, and healthcare system sustainability.
  • Lead tender strategies across markets to ensure competitive positioning and optimize submissions in line with procurement requirements.
  • Monitor tender performance, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with government bodies, healthcare authorities, and key policy influencers.
  • Monitor and respond to legislative and regulatory changes affecting access, representing Sandoz in relevant external forums.
  • Partner cross-functionally to integrate access strategies into business plans and provide strategic input for launches and lifecycle management.

Essential Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Minimum 10–12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with strong expertise in market access, pricing, tender management, and government affairs.
  • Proven success within the Malaysia & Singapore healthcare landscape with established relationships among key decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with payers and influence policy outcomes.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and external engagement capabilities.
  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving complex initiatives.

Desirables

  • Deep understanding of Singapore's healthcare system, reimbursement pathways, and tender regulations.
