About Us
Reclimate is a fast-growing climate-tech venture advancing carbon removal solutions across the Global South. Our core work focuses on enabling agricultural partners across Southeast Asia to turn their biomass waste into biochar, permanently locking away carbon while boosting soil health and improving rural livelihoods through climate finance. To date, we have launched operations in 4 countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Our goal is to make climate action accessible, sustainable and financially viable for agricultural smallholders and partners all across ASEAN and beyond.
Role Overview: Marketing & Communications Intern
Are you a digital marketer and storyteller who wants to build a brand, not just post pictures
We are looking for a high-energy Marketing & Communications Intern who is ready to take our public presence, brand growth, and stakeholder engagement to the next level. If you love growth marketing, visual design, and building the brand image for an impact-led organisation —this role may be perfect for you. As an intern, you will be guided on how to translate real-world climate data from our technical team into compelling digital growth campaigns, partner-facing communication works, and dynamic content for our social media.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Growth & Campaign Execution: Plan, write, and execute multi-format content (carousels, short-form videos, infographics, and blog writing) that expand our reach and grow our audience across key channels.
- Impact Marketing & Copywriting: Translate complex technical milestones (like biochar carbon sequestration) into sharp, engaging, and clear stories for non-technical audiences, investors, and potential partners.
- Pitch & Presentation Support: Work directly with management to design high-impact pitch decks, presentation and event materials that help drive our business development and outreach efforts.
- On-the-Ground Activation & Media Capture: Attend in-person sustainability summits, industry showcases, and field projects in KL to capture live video/photo media, cover real-time milestones, and represent Reclimate.
- Website Management: Keep our official website updated (no coding required) with fresh project updates, blog posts, campaign pages, and impact stories.
Why Reclimate
- Accelerate Your Career Learning: Learn how brand storytelling, content marketing, presentation design, and business operations intersect in a fast-moving climate startup.
- Real Ownership, Zero Coffee Runs: Your campaign ideas, visual designs, and slide decks will directly shape our brand image and marketing efforts from Day 1.
- Remote Flexibility + KL Ecosystem: Enjoy the autonomy of remote work balanced with in-person attendance to exclusive industry and networking events in KL.
- Direct Mentorship: Gain experience and mentorship from our Global team, including direct guidance from our Impact Communications Lead and core management team.
- Front-Row Seat to Climate-Tech: The carbon market is exploding, and Southeast Asia is still new to this market. You'll gain rare, early-career exposure to how climate projects and carbon credits actually operate on the ground.
Candidate Requirements
⚠️ Please Note: You must be currently based in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor. While daily work is remote-first, physical attendance at key KL events, photo/video shoots, and team syncs is required.
- Academic Background: Current university student or recent graduate in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or related fields (or technical/STEM students with strong marketing, writing, or design portfolios).
- Creative & Marketing Skillset: Excellent copywriter with a sharp visual aesthetic, strong storytelling instincts, and a knack for engaging digital audiences.
- Required Tools: Proficiency in Canva is required. Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere) or web platforms (Notion, Framer, Squarespace, or WordPress) is a strong plus.
- Growth Mindset: Proactive, commercially curious, highly organized, and comfortable engaging with external partners and event attendees.
