We are looking for a bilingual (Chinese/English) person with a heart for strengthening families to join us as the Marketing and Programmes Lead (Chinese).
Reporting to the Family Development Lead (Chinese), this role supports the promotion and delivery of FOFM's programmes and resources through marketing and social media content creation, facilitation of parenting and marriage enrichment workshops, relationship-building with churches and community partners, and general administrative and operational support – all with a focus on reaching and serving the Chinese-speaking community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote programmes and events, particularly through social media platforms.
- Create, write, and proofread marketing content in Chinese and/or English for social media, promotional materials, newsletters, programme communications, and marketing campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to creatively and impactfully meet constituents needs, e.g. programme enrollments, resources sales, collaborations, forums, campaigns.
- Develop and implement cost-effective communication and digital media marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and increase engagement among the Chinese-speaking community.
- Monitor and support online engagement efforts to increase programme awareness and participation.
2. Programme Facilitation and Development
- Deliver simple presentations, programme introductions, and promotional sharing sessions when required.
- Facilitate short parenting and marriage enrichment workshops or discussion-based sessions for parents, couples, churches, and community groups.
- Translate and adapt key English programmes to Chinese
- Evaluate and recommend viable programme variations as required to meet the unique and diverse needs of the constituents while maintaining the essence of the programme
- Research and develop new programmes based on constituents evolving needs
- Assist speakers, facilitators, and programme teams where needed.
3. Strategic Partnerships
- Maintain, develop and grow strategic collaborations with the Chinese-speaking community, building the brand's presence and increasing awareness of the organisation's mission and activities
- Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, events, and ministry engagements.
- Reach out proactively to churches and organisations to introduce programmes and resources.
- Coordinate and secure speaking engagements, workshops, seminars, and programme opportunities.
4. Administrative & Operational Support
- Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and other administrative documentation.
- Maintain organised records, filing systems, and programme information.
- Support programme registration, participant communication, and administrative follow-ups.
- Coordinate scheduling and administrative arrangements related to church engagements and departmental activities.
- Assist with event preparation and operational coordination.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Psychology, Ministry or Marketing preferred
- At least 7 years of working experience, with demonstrated ability to plan and execute marketing and/or social media initiatives, through professional, personal, or entrepreneurial projects.
- Experience working with churches, corporates, NGOs, educational organisations, or community groups.
- Understanding of the Chinese-speaking community context.
- Experience facilitating workshops, small group discussions, or educational sessions is an advantage.
- Personal parenting experience or familiarity with parenting and family life issues is an advantage.
- Parents with young children may be especially well-positioned to relate to programme participants and target audiences.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful.
- Strong teamwork skills with a servant-hearted attitude.
- Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for programmes and events.
- High proficiency in spoken and written Chinese.
- Working proficiency in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia is desirable.
