Job Description

  • Job Title: Overseas Marketing Manager (Wuliangye)
  • Job Level: Manager
  • Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Work from Home / Remote)
  • Employment Type: EOR Contract
  • Compensation: 10,000 MYR Base Salary + 4,000 MYR KPI Bonus per month

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional capable of driving brand presence and sales performance for our premium Chinese liquor portfolio. You will be responsible for end-to-end market development, channel management, and executing strategic initiatives to solidify Wuliangye's position in the Malaysian market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Performance: Develop and execute comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets aligned with corporate business plans. You will hold full accountability for achieving sales KPIs and revenue growth.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct in-depth analysis of Malaysian market trends, consumer preferences, and product demand to formulate and implement highly effective, localized sales strategies.
  • Key Customer & Channel Development: Identify, engage, and convert high-value accounts. Design development plans to penetrate key strategic locations, including Bukit Bintang, TRX, Pavilion, Mont Kiara, and Genting Highlands.
  • Channel Management: Maintain proactive engagement with key accounts and distributors. Regularly visit trade partners to expand the distribution network, ensure product availability, and strengthen long-term commercial partnerships.
  • Brand Promotion: Plan and execute innovative brand campaigns and promotional activities to enhance Wuliangye's market presence and deepen consumer engagement.
  • Operational Compliance: Oversee local distributor activities to ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and performance benchmarks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited institution. (Marketing, International Trade, or related fields preferred).
  • Professional Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience within the liquor (Baijiu/Wine/Spirits/Beer) or FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record in business development with verifiable success cases.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in Mandarin is mandatory (due to business alignment with headquarters).
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, Cantonese, or Tamil is considered a distinct advantage.
  • Legal Status: Must possess the legal right to work in Malaysia (e.g., Malaysian citizen, Permanent Resident, or existing valid work visa). Note: The employer will not provide visa sponsorship.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Malaysian liquor/FMCG landscape, including regulatory frameworks, import procedures, and customs duties.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • High adaptability to cross-cultural environments and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as required and full alignment with organizational goals.

Candidates who possess established government connections, active resources from the Malaysian Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce (ACCCIM), or existing networks within local liquor distribution channels will be given priority.
