About the role:
Valiram, one of Southeast Asia's leading luxury and lifestyle retail groups, is partnering with Lindt, the world's most valuable chocolate brand, to launch its direct retail presence in Malaysia. With a strong track record of building and scaling global brands across the region, Valiram is leading Lindt's retail expansion in Malaysia. This role will elevate how the brand comes to life in-market, starting with the launch of the first flagship store and scaling across future locations. You will own the marketing strategy and execution across retail, with a clear focus on driving traffic, conversion and commercial performance. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited to someone who thrives in building and executing.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Launch
- Lead end-to-end marketing for the first Lindt store opening
- Develop and execute a go-to-market plan to drive awareness, footfall, and sales from day one
- Deliver strong in-store execution through campaigns, activations and visual merchandising alignment
Retail Marketing & Trading Performance
- Own the retail marketing calendar across key trading periods (e.g. festive and gifting seasons)
- Drive measurable impact on:
- Footfall
- Conversion
- Average Transaction Value
- Ensure marketing initiatives translate into store performance
Brand Execution & Localization
- Adapt global Lindt brand guidelines into locally relevant campaigns
- Maintain premium brand standards while delivering strong commercial outcomes
Customer Growth & CRM
- Build and grow customer base and engagement
- Partner with Valiram Group Marketing on digital, media, social and PR
- Ensure alignment between digital activity and store performance
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key interface between Lindt and Valiram Group Marketing
- Drive alignment and execution across teams
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage marketing budget and track ROI
- Analyse performance and continuously optimise campaigns
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in retail marketing (inc. store activations and experiential campaigns)
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, consumer behaviour and omnichannel marketing strategies
- Commercial mindset with understanding of retail KPIs (traffic, conversion, ATV)
- Proven ability to execute end-to-end campaigns
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
