JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overall marketing and its profitability, and overall operations of A&P, CDD, Mar comm and PR & CC ensuring that all practices are in accordance with the company and department's policies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the mall's overall marketing strategy to drive footfall, revenue growth, tenant support, and brand positioning.
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Monitor industry developments, consumer insights, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and enhance marketing effectiveness
- Conduct market research and customer behavior analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
Department Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee the Marketing Department, including Advertising & Promotions, Marketing Communications & Public Relations, Creative Design, and Customer Care functions.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
- Manage workforce planning, staff development, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and service excellence.
Marketing Campaigns & Brand Management
- Plan, develop, and execute impactful advertising, promotional, and customer engagement campaigns to strengthen the mall's market presence.
- Drive integrated marketing communications and public relations initiatives to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
- Oversee the conceptualization and development of creative marketing materials, mall décor, and promotional assets.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all customer touchpoints.
Customer Experience & Stakeholder Management
- Lead customer care initiatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences and service standards.
- Manage customer feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and continuous service improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, media partners, agencies, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the mall in group-wide marketing projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Financial & Operational Management
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and return on investment.
- Monitor campaign performance, marketing expenditures, and revenue generation opportunities.
- Establish and implement best practices, policies, and operational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and data protection standards, including PDPA requirements.
- Safeguard customer and business information by adhering to established data privacy and security protocols
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Certificate in Marketing or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrate competency in marketing, publicity, branding, internal communication, editorial skills and marketing communications.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms and social media management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
- Ability to engage in strategic thinking.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, tenants, and external partners.
- Willing to be based in Sunway Wangsa Mall.
