Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Marketing Officer (Travel Business) to support our B2B Travel team in expanding and engaging with certified travel agents and organizations in Malaysia. This role is key to driving visibility, partner engagement, and product awareness in the B2B travel ecosystem, including IATA-certified agents, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Destination Management Companies (DMCs), wholesalers, and related travel entities.

The ideal candidate has 2 to 5 years of experience in marketing, business development, or travel-related roles, with a strong understanding of the B2B travel landscape.

Job Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote B2B travel products and services.
  • Coordinate integrated campaigns across digital, print, and event platforms to drive partner engagement and product adoption.
  • Support lead generation efforts through content creation, partner outreach, and co-branded initiatives.

2. Partner Engagement & Events

  • Organize and participate in roadshows, trade fairs, and industry conferences to increase visibility and build brand presence.
  • Collaborate with certified travel agents and B2B partners on joint marketing activities.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders in the travel trade industry.

3. Sales & Market Support

  • Assist in aligning marketing strategies with sales goals to support business growth.
  • Track campaign performance, partner feedback, and market trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Maintain marketing reports, sales support materials, and partner communications.

4. Technology & Platform Support

  • Promote and support the adoption of the B2B booking portal and related tools.
  • Conduct basic training and onboarding for partners on using the platform effectively.
  • Gather user feedback to suggest enhancements that improve the partner experience.

Education/Experience:

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in marketing or business development within the travel or tourism industry.
  • Experience working with B2B travel agents, IATA-affiliated entities, or travel distribution partners is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Marketing Knowledge: Experience with campaign planning, event execution, and digital marketing.
  • Travel Industry Insight: Familiarity with travel agency operations, IATA certification, and travel management processes.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an added advantage.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems, online booking tools, and B2B portals.
  • Event & Partner Management: Proven ability to organize marketing events and manage B2B partnerships.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to meet deadlines, support KPIs, and contribute to revenue and engagement goals.
