Job Summary

We are looking for Master Data Governance Senior Analyst to join our new and growing Global Business Services (GBS) based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of end-to-end Master Data Governance scopes in more than 18 countries (Japan, Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Europe, North America, Canada, Bangladesh).

Our Key Mission is not only for the Operational management for Master Data including processing which is Creation/Modification/Deactivation/Reactivation/analysis and reconciliation, but also the control of governance which includes defining and enforcing policies and procedures for managing data and control all kinds of risk such as fraud and human error.

This position is essential in the Master Data Governance process to provide consistent, efficient, effective, and quality deliverables of the operation, global process design, compliance to company policies and procedures, and achievement to operational performance KPIs set.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Work with Operation Manager, Global Process Manager and Performance Improvement Team on regular end to end process review to identify process changes and improvements as necessary to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Report to and work with Team Lead as well as other internal stakeholders such as GBS leadership team ,Global Headquarter, Local Management and Line of Businesses in contributing to strategic planning and business strategy.
  • Work with Operation Manager, Main focal for transition of Master Data Governance processes into GBS and transformation programs including planning, training, knowledge transfer, Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) documentations preparations and issue resolution.
  • Work with Operation Manager, Active participation in global projects with close collaboration with Project Team, Country Finance, and other End-to-End processes in GBS & HQ.
  • Align, promote, and deliver as per global vision and mission.
  • Develop, motivate, and empower the team to consistently deliver quality standards and identify improvement area across processes and technology (e.g. ERP, Automation, and other tools solutions).
  • Ensure smooth collaboration with business partners (both internal & external) and contribute to foster customer experience.

Operations

  • As global business process owner ensuring Master data are timely managed (Creation/Changes/Deactivation), promote business awareness and take proper action with stakeholders, and implement business solutions to mitigate possible financial risks.
  • Monitor and manage the performance and efficiency of the MDG function through regular KPI performance review, and ensure quality delivery
  • Actively involved in issue management (within process and/or cross-process) and perform root cause analysis. Drive active discussion with stakeholders on the finding and action for improvement.
  • Ensure regular review and initiate process changes and improvements as necessary to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Review and design the end-to-end process to improve the existing business model by identifying opportunities and savings.
  • Establish course of action and a sequence of steps using available resources to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Effective decision-making processes for various business needs and make sound judgment based on data obtained.
  • Manage multiple projects and finance initiatives and successful implementation within the set timeframe and budget
  • Developing and reviewing work procedures and document flows to seek areas of improvements.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement within OTC regime that drive productivity and strengthen control whilst support in driving process improvement and standardization.
  • Understand the systems and tools to derive the desired business results and work closely with IT/SAP/Other functions to drive process automation
  • Participate in multiple projects and finance initiatives and successful implementation within the set timeframe and budget.

Team Development

  • Continuously coach and develop team members skills and capabilities for their career and performance development.
  • Support training and development needs of the team (both soft skill and technical skill) to achieve team objectives.
  • Monitor the performance and efficiency of the MDG function including performance deliverables and KPIs achievements
  • Continuously assess the sustainability and continuity of operation through effective resource management and organization structure.
  • Responsible to onboard new team member to ensure effective knowledge transfer / handover process within the team to meet team's objective.
  • Embed continuous improvement mindset across the team, leading /supporting team member in completing improvement initiatives to improve processes within the remit of team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or CPA/MIA equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in SSC(Shared Service Center) with proven strong working experience in MDG area.
  • Have strong working experience in Accounting/Finance in addition to engagement in SSC would be an advantage
  • Experience of direct people management responsibilities (at least managing a team size of 5 and above) is preferable.
  • Exposure to multinational or regional corporate business environments, or similar.
  • Competence in leadership skills i.e. Managing and Leading, People Management, Stakeholder and Change Management, Critical Thinking, Strategic Thinking, Lean Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in financial/accounting tools (SAP HANA/FIORI/Business Intelligence SAP Analytics) and other operation systems (MS/Google Office, SNOW, Power BI, Power Query, Tableu, Google Looker, RPA, etc).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and other language i.e. Mandarin
  • Able to work professionally and collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong ownership.
  • Strong ability to build, manage and lead a large team with strong and solid knowledge and people management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate observations effectively, high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage migration and improvement projects/initiatives (both local and global) with good change management skills.
  • Experience in process modelling/documentation.
  • Strong service delivery-oriented mindset with proven effective decision making, problem-solving skills and act on opportunities to improve business processes or structure.
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting and business strategy view to support the business
