About The Role

Reports to: Material Requirement Planning Manager

The Material Requirement Planning Executive is responsible for maintaining and monitoring all packaging material requirements to ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient supply flow, and uninterrupted production operations. This role provides short-term planning insights to management, covering inventory holding, aging and write-off reduction, delivery schedule performance, warehouse optimization, and material forecasting. The position also ensures timely and cost-effective customer fulfillment by aligning material availability with demand and operational priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure inventory availability to meet and complete the production schedule.
  • Place orders (and run MRP for material orders) accordingly in SAP to maintain adequate quantity and batch of packaging materials to be ordered and received with 0 aging or OOS risk.
  • Analyses standard vs actual consumption, adjusting MRP plan to minimize variances and maintain consumption within standard limits.
  • Monitor and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate safety stock holding at both in-house and supplier warehouses. Ensure the optimization of inventory in place to minimize working capital
  • Collaborate with transporter, supplier, RMPM and manufacturing department to strive and meet on-time delivery schedule performance for production and discrepancies to plan escalated.
  • Main contact point for day-to-day packaging material operational issues with QA, procurement, RMPM, OE and manufacturing department.
  • Reconcile and maintain accurate inventory records and vendor performance to ensure truth and fair view in report.
  • Drive continuous improvement project Implementation of MRP module at SAP system and enhanced material reference data accuracy with timely updates i.e. Material code and description BOM, consumption and wastage, supplier lead time, supplier MOQ, etc.
  • Support and back up on other raw/ packaging material review and order, follow-up material ETA.
  • Working closely with demand and supply planner to review and rundown material inventory for those discontinued SKUs, high inventory or risk to aging.
  • Working closely with commercialization planner to track and control material inventory for transitioning and promo/festive SKUs, as well as raise PR for new packaging cylinders.
  • Able to identify material shortages and implement corrective action plans.
  • Able to take up any new task when required by business needs.

What You Bring

  • Ideally 35 years of relevant working experience in material planning, supply chain, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP R/3 (including modules such as APO SNP, MRP, PPDS, and Prevail)
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Solid numerical aptitude with good understanding of mathematics and statistics
  • Knowledge of forecasting principles, supply network planning, packaging specifications, storage requirements, and product master scheduling
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and a collaborative team player with leadership potential
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to perform effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
