Responsibilities
- Coordinates material sourcing, supplier quotations, supplier selection, purchases of direct material and procurement strategy development for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D and cross functional teams
- Negotiating prices & supplier contract, monitoring supplier performance, and developing and executing to the commodity plans.
- Assures the procurement and inventory management of high technology materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.
- May be responsible for participating in, or leading process improvement efforts, such as in product transfer from inter-site, new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, cost reduction and/or quality.
- May manage contract manufacturer (CM), original design manufacturer (ODM) and supplier relationships to ensure assurance of supply & inventory optimization
- Ability to analyze and utilize large data in decision making, achievement of business objectives, and driving best quality solutions, practices and policies
- Ability to work on a large set of issues and projects at the same time
- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing or Supply Chain Design
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and remain focused in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or supply chain management is typically required.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles is desirable.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
