Role Description
Baxter Learning Centre in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a full-time Mathematics Teacher on-site for daily teaching and administrative tasks. The roles include:
- Creating lesson plans and delivering lectures to primary and secondary level students
- Evaluating student performance on tests, report cards, and assignments, and provide feedback and encouragement to students and parents
- Collaborating with other Mathematics Teachers to share teaching techniques and approaches
- Participating in faculty and professional conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities to improve teaching skills and knowledge
- Performing administrative tasks, such as approving student schedules, participation in parent-teacher conferences, and organizing Mathematics-related extracurricular activities
- Ensuring the safekeeping and proper use of school equipment and facilities assigned for Mathematics activities
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Mathematics Teacher role will meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- A Certificate in Education and teaching experience would be an added advantage
- Demonstrated expertise in Mathematics with a comprehensive understanding of the learning process for students of various ages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- The ability to use technology in teaching to enhance classroom instruction and improve student achievement
- Commitment to professional growth and development and active participation in professional organizations
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess the ability to work independently, as well as being a team player
