Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development
- Set up and lead the regional MCR organisation, including engineers, licensed personnel, and technicians.
- Provide supervision, coaching, performance monitoring, and competency development for all MCR personnel.
- Self-Perform Strategy
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the regional self-perform maintenance strategy for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Track progress and ensure alignment with operational standards and business goals.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Lead and support troubleshooting efforts for major M&E issues across country data centres.
- Provide escalation support to site DCO teams, ensuring fast recovery and minimising downtime.
- Emergency Response Governance
- Develop and implement regional emergency response procedures for the MCR team.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during incidents to mitigate risk and ensure rapid stabilisation.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work closely with internal teams (DCO, Engineering, Reliability, Projects, HSE) and external vendors/OEMs.
- Share best practices, technical insights, and training materials to enhance country capability.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience in mechanical/electrical systems within data centres or mission-critical environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in M&E maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
- Proven leadership skills with 5+ years experience managing technical staff.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, emergency response, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.
- Willing to be on call 24 X 7
