Title: Mechanical Commissioning Lead

Location: Miri, Sarawak
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor mechanical commissioning and start-up activities for CCGT power plant systems and equipment.
- Verify that plant equipment complies with project specifications, design requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Support and coordinate commissioning engineers, technicians, and contractor personnel throughout commissioning and handover phases.
- Review and monitor commissioning schedules, procedures, work packs, and turnover documentation.
- Participate in system walkdowns and punch list management activities.
- Review construction completion status and readiness for system turnover to commissioning.
- Monitor the development and implementation of:
- Commissioning procedures
- Spare parts management programs
- Consumables control processes
- Deficiency and outstanding work tracking
- Support major project milestones including:
- Mechanical completion
- Chemical cleaning
- Steam blowing
- Start-up and synchronization
- Performance testing
- Final plant handover
- Ensure compliance with project safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with operations, construction, engineering, and vendor representatives during commissioning activities.
- Serve as a key point of contact for mechanical systems through commissioning and early operational phases.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within power generation, commissioning, operations, or start-up environments.
- At least 5 years experience in a Lead Commissioning, Lead Start-up, or Operations role on Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plants, or Gas turbine-based power generation projects.
- Experience supporting project execution from mechanical completion through plant performance testing and handover.
- Right to work in Sarawak
