Mechanical Design, Principal Engineer/ Manager (Semiconductor/ Automated machine)

What You'll Do

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end mechanical design process for automation systems and machinery, from concept development through to production release
• Drive the full product development lifecycle, ensuring designs meet functional, quality, and performance requirements
• Establish and enforce mechanical design standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines across the team
• Apply risk management methodologies including FMEA and DOE to proactively identify and mitigate design risks throughout the development process
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, project, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless design integration and on-time delivery
• Ensure all mechanical designs comply with semiconductor and cleanroom industry requirements and relevant regulatory standards
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to maintain design integrity
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level mechanical engineers, fostering technical growth and a high-performance design culture
• Engage with suppliers, vendors, and external stakeholders to evaluate components, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product reliability

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on automation systems, machine design, and the semiconductor / cleanroom industry
• Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and proven application of risk management, FMEA, and DOE methodologies
• High proficiency in CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional engineering and project teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical system integration
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making
