GH Consultants Sdn Bhdis a Penang-based Engineering Consultancy established in 2000 providing Mechanical & Electrical (MEP) Consultancy Services for Commercial, Medical, Residential and other types of development. We also provide Industrial Process engineering solutions, technical due diligence, fire safety engineering audits, trouble-shooting and Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) consultancy.

The Role

We are seeking a highly competent and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical engineering systems across a range of high-profile projects. You will work collaboratively across disciplines to ensure design integrity, regulatory compliance, and seamless implementation from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building systems including Fire Protection Systems, ACMV (Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation), Plumbing & Drainage, LPG, Vertical Transportation
• Prepare engineering calculations, cost estimates, system layouts, and technical specifications
• Develop tender and construction documentation
• Perform authority submissions and ensure regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with architects, C&S engineers, QS, and contractors
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with contract specifications
• Support contract administration (EI, NCR, payment certification, VO, final accounts)
• Prepare tender evaluations and technical comparison reports

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Trace, or similar is an advantage
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible and able to work in a team
• Possess own transport
