Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for setup, installation, and commissioning of new and existing manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate with team members and related departments on new projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise technicians to ensure high productivity, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Assist the Section Manager in daily operational activities, including manpower planning, attendance monitoring, and overtime arrangements.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolve machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for equipment-related issues.
• Analyze and resolve machine problems affecting production efficiency and output.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, control builds, and engineering projects.
• Maintain equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, machine troubleshooting, and maintenance principles.
• Exposure to SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines and backend assembly equipment is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and work effectively with technicians and cross-functional teams.
• Willing to work in Batu Kawan, Penang.
