Purpose of the Position
The incumbent will assist the Area Manager in overseeing the central workshop and guiding the maintenance team to perform maintenance and reliability-related functions efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Operations
- Support and execute maintenance tasks in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Contribute to turnaround management and introduce effective maintenance techniques.
- Analyze maintenance demands and recommend improvements to avoid delays.
- Investigate maintenance issues and develop action plans considering cost, downtime, and material availability.
Workshop Management
- Upgrade and maintain workshop facilities.
- Guide supervisors and technicians in establishing best maintenance practices.
Reliability Engineering
- Conduct root cause failure analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain a lessons-learned database for operations and maintenance teams.
Training & Development
- Design and implement training plans for maintenance personnel.
- Conduct proficiency tests and establish systems for managing critical maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance within chemical industrial gases or manufacturing environments.
