Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI), product development, supplier development, tooling, and manufacturing projects across Southeast Asia.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering problems, working with suppliers, improving product designs, and bringing new products from concept to mass production.
Fresh graduates with strong engineering fundamentals and internship/project experience are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Support new product development from RFQ through production launch.
Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
Coordinate with suppliers, sourcing, quality, and project teams.
Support prototype builds, tooling trials, FAI, qualification, and production ramp-up.
Track engineering issues and drive them to closure.
Mechanical Engineering & DFM
Review and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD.
Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
Recommend improvements in design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Identify potential manufacturing, tooling, and assembly risks.
Manufacturing & Tooling
Work with various manufacturing processes:
Injection molding (plastic)
Sheet metal
CNC machining
Die casting
Metal stamping
Mechanical assemblies
Support mold, die, and tooling development.
Participate in tooling reviews, trials, and qualification activities.
Supplier Development & Problem Solving
Work directly with suppliers to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Evaluate alternative manufacturing solutions to improve quality, cost, and lead time.
Visit supplier and manufacturing sites when required.
What We're Looking For
✅ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
✅ Fresh Graduates or candidates with up to 5 years of relevant experience
✅ Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
✅ Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastics, machining, sheet metal, or tooling
✅ Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent)
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Good communication skills in English
✅ Chinese and/or Malay language skills are an advantage
✅ Willingness to travel occasionally within Southeast Asia
