About the Role

Join this mechanical-focused role to own product lifecycles & technical delivery! Lead design/development from concept to end-of-life, turn customer needs into specs (collaborate cross-team), support manufacturing, refine designs with feedback, and create 3D/2D docs.

Responsibilities

Product Development: Lead new product design, development and improvement projects from concept to end-of-life.

Collaboration & Alignment: Translate customer requirements into detailed design specs; coordinate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, etc.) to ensure product quality.

Product Support: Provide manufacturing-stage support, address defects, and optimize existing designs using customer feedback and test data.

Technical Documentation: Create 3D models, 2D production drawings and other technical docs; ensure designs comply with company, client and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 35 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Engineering calculations/analyses (structural, thermal/CFD, kinematics); GD&T application; tolerance stack-up analyses; DFMEA participation.
• Implementation of DFx (DFM, DFA, DFS, DFX); design for IP6k9k standards (capital equipment focus preferred); OTS component selection.
• Ability to create technical documentation (3D models, 2D drawings) and ensure compliance with company procedures, client standards, and industry regulations.
• Fluent written/spoken English; ability to work in international teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Required Skills

• CAD skills: Expertise in Creo (must-have); proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D production drawing creation; familiarity with Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
• Technical capabilities: Sheet metal design, weldment design, and knowledge of material science + manufacturing techniques (sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining).

Preferred Skills

Expert in using of CAD design tools, Creo is necessary, Siemens NX or SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
