Job Scope: Application Technical and Engineer Assistant (Intern)

Department: Technical Lab and Application Support

Reports To: Technical Supervisor/Manager

Allowances: Up to RM1000

Job Description:

1. Assisting in 3D Design and Development:

- Assist in creating 3D models, prototypes, and technical drawings using Solidwork CAD software.

- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and refine product designs

- Conduct research on materials, components, and manufacturing processes to support design decisions.

- Help with testing and evaluation of prototypes to identify design flaws and suggest improvements.

2. Assisting with Documentation, Reporting and video editing:

- Able to do proper reporting with excellent knowledge in all type of format/subjects.

- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva.

- Can do video editing in a proper sequence for product SOP and demonstration.

- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, such as user manuals and assembly instructions.

- Help prepare reports summarizing project progress, findings, and recommendations.

- Ensure accurate and organized documentation of engineering designs, calculations, and test results.

- Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of engineering materials, components, and tools.

3. Hard skill requirement:

- Good in handling power tools such as grinder, hand-drills, saw, cutting machine, etc.

- Basic electrical knowledge in handling equipment to repair, testing and verification.

- Capable in mathematic and technical science problem solving.

4. Conducting Experiments and Data Analysis:

- Set up and perform experiments to collect data and evaluate performance.

- Assist in data analysis using statistical software or tools to draw meaningful conclusions.

- Help document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately.

- Contribute to the development of test protocols and quality control procedures.

5. Product Training and Consultation:

- Support the delivery of product demonstrations and presentations to clients or end-users.

- Provide technical assistance and consultation to customers or team members regarding product features, usage, and troubleshooting.

6. Photography and Videography for New Machine:

- Capture good quality photographs and videos of new machinery.

- Edit and produce media content suitable for various platforms and purposes.

- Collaborate with the technical team to highlight key features and functions.

- Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) videos for new and existing machines.

- Develop a comprehensive catalogue of all SOPs, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

7. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions.

- Support the investigation of product failures and provide input on root cause analysis.

- Assist in implementing corrective actions to improve product performance and reliability.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions for engineering challenges.
