Located inPasir Gudang, Malaysia, our facility spans51,000 square metersof covered shop floor and employsover 900 full-time staff. This environment has been thoughtfully designed to bring modern technology and traditional craftsmanship together in perfect harmony.

We are currently looking for askilled and safety-conscious Mechanical Fitterto join our team in the construction of new boats. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, installing, assembling, and testing a wide range of mechanical systems and components, including propulsion systems, engines, hydraulics, piping, and steering systems, according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, specifications and manuals.
  • Fit, align, and assemble mechanical components and systems onboard new boats under construction.
  • Install engines, pumps, gearboxes, shafts, rudders, and other propulsion and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions
  • Work closely with the supervisor and other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Complete job reports and documentation as required

What we prefer:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in marine, shipbuilding, or heavy industry (new build experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of marine mechanical systems, including propulsion, fuel, water, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
