Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Planning, Reliability, and Maintenance Support functions to improve plant availability, shutdown performance, maintenance service quality, equipment reliability, and safe work execution.
  • Lead and govern plant shutdown planning, including scope collection, schedule preparation, job readiness review, resource coordination, shutdown execution monitoring, delay tracking, post-mortem review, and carry-forward action follow-up.
  • Develop and standardize shutdown planning workflows, including planner responsibilities, planning timelines, coordination meeting structure, shutdown checklist format, reporting format, and shutdown performance tracking.
  • Lead shutdown post-mortem governance by reviewing planned versus actual shutdown performance, identifying delay causes, assigning corrective actions, and tracking repeated issues until closure.
  • Lead condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, online monitoring follow-up, critical equipment surveillance, abnormality reporting, defect verification, recommendation follow-up, and predictive maintenance improvement.
  • Lead lubrication reliability programs, including lubrication route compliance, oil sampling, oil analysis review, oil change optimization, contamination control, lubrication-related equipment risk follow-up, and lubrication cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage the in-house Workshop and Piping teams as internal maintenance service support functions for plant operations, maintenance, breakdown recovery, shutdown execution, and reliability improvement.
  • Manage the Workshop Team to provide internal mechanical repair, inspection, assembly, refurbishment, and reconditioning services, including pump bearing assembly, motor bearing replacement, motor inspection support, cardan shaft refurbishment, rotor refurbishment, equipment repair support, fabrication support, and other mechanical service requests from plant teams.
  • Manage the Piping Team to support breakdowns, shutdowns, and planned maintenance activities through piping leak rectification, pipe repair, piping modification, installation support, and shutdown-related piping work.
  • Guide the Piping Team during normal operation periods with lower plant maintenance demand to support in-house fabrication of plant improvement and safety-related items, including waste bins, handrails, brackets, guards, and other operational support equipment.
  • Improve Workshop and Piping service quality over time by strengthening job planning, manpower planning, priority control, workmanship standards, response time, technical capability, safety compliance, documentation, follow-up discipline, and accountability of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Lead RCA and reliability improvement initiatives for major, repeated, or high-impact equipment failures, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are assigned, tracked, and reviewed for effectiveness.
  • Drive maintenance improvement and cost-saving initiatives through recurring issue elimination, maintenance strategy review, equipment repair strategy, refurbishment studies, lubrication optimization, motor efficiency studies, and asset performance improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain Spreadsheet-based planning and reliability tracking systems, including shutdown checklists, job readiness trackers, condition monitoring records, lubrication tracking sheets, equipment defect follow-up lists, post-mortem action trackers, Workshop and Piping job trackers, and management reports.
  • Standardize checklist formats, data recording methods, reporting templates, technical records, and follow-up systems to improve planning discipline, traceability, action closure, service quality visibility, and reliability performance tracking.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Plant Maintenance, Procurement, Safety, contractors, and vendors to support job readiness, material readiness, repair strategy, fabrication work, piping support, equipment refurbishment, and shutdown execution.
  • Develop, review, and standardize maintenance-related SOPs, technical work instructions, inspection checklists, lubrication standards, condition monitoring procedures, shutdown planning procedures, Workshop repair standards, and Piping work standards.
  • Promote safe maintenance and shutdown execution by reinforcing permit-to-work compliance, isolation readiness, contractor coordination, hot work control, lifting safety, cutting and grinding safety, welding safety, and safe site work practices.
  • Lead, coach, and develop engineers, supervisors, technicians, and planners by setting work priorities, reviewing performance, improving technical competency, strengthening ownership, and building a reliable internal service culture.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation systems, including equipment manuals, drawings, inspection records, maintenance standards, shutdown records, RCA reports, post-mortem records, Workshop repair records, Piping repair records, and reliability improvement references.
  • Support future digitalization of maintenance and reliability processes by preparing structured Excel data, checklist formats, workflow requirements, and reporting templates suitable for future migration to SharePoint, Power BI, SAP, or other maintenance platforms when required.
