Responsibilities:
The Shift Support Mechanical Technician functions to support all mechanical engineering functions/activities of the ASRS and manufacturing functions & to support machinery/equipment of the company to achieve/maintain safe and efficient operations in logistics and manufacturing department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Observes and actively enforces safe working practices as per company safety policies
- Support the mechanical activities/functions of the ASRS and/or manufacturing business units when required
- Assist in mechanical/process trouble-shooting activities in the ASRS and manufacturing business units if need.
- Perform overhauls, servicing & to prepare equipment parts to support ASRS maintenance programs.
- Maintain mechanical workshop tooling/fabrication equipment and highlight any requirements/deficiencies to the Assistant Manager-Mechanical
- Service/repair, modification support and centralized equipment in the factory under the responsibility of the Maintenance Department
- Prepare necessary reports/information on work performed for records purposes & share with team members to enable smooth shift transition
- Perform daily equipment inspection according to daily checklist activities & requirement.
- Ability to sketch drawings with key dimension/measurement included if needed.
- Identify and highlight key areas for improvement through daily activities.
- Continuously observes/enforces good housekeeping practices according to company housekeeping policies
- Actively participate and support all company-wide initiatives for improvement such as 5S.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience as maintenance/mechanical technician in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Hands-On experience in tapping, drilling, installing wall plugs and being able to perform welding activity is vital.
- Working knowledge of mechanical workshop equipment as lathe & milling machine is advantage.
- Strong involvement in line improvements/modifications
- Ability to work at height (at racking & top of the crane equipment).
