Purpose of the Role:
The Medical Advisor (MA) provides scientific and medical support and strategic directions for therapy areas assigned. The MA develops medical strategies and provides expert medical perspective and guidance for Brand Plans. The MA drives execution excellence for medical affairs activities and ensures compliance to local laws, regulations and codes of practice or SOPs. The MA works cross-functionally to drive advancements in education and the standard of care in line with company objectives.
Expectations of the Role:
- Lead development of medical strategies and drive execution excellence in assigned therapy area.
- Works collaboratively with regional & local teams to maximize opportunities for education and improving patient outcomes.
- Lead initiatives to build and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) as advocates.
- Drives excellence in KOL identification, engagement and analysis, speaker development and engagements with other external stakeholders.
- Medical governance including providing input, reviewing and approving materials and programs as well as input on day-to-day medical and commercial activities.
- Lead or support relevant cross-functional initiatives especially in medical education activities, sales conference meeting and brand strategic plan, by presenting medical insights and suggestion on the current medical situation from patient, clinicians, and scientific perspectives.
- Lead clinical data generation and the scientific communication with key stakeholders.
- Actively partner with regulatory, market access and business development for new product evaluation/label updates, formulary listings etc.
- To promote and adhere to Zuellig Pharma's core values when carrying out day-to-day responsibilities and interactions.
Attributes Required:
Must-Have:
- Candidate graduated as Doctor of Medicine (MD) with subspecialty training on related Therapeutic Areas, or with PharmD, Doctorate Degree (PhD) or Master's Degree in Pharmacy.
- 4-6 years of related working experience, preferably within the therapeutics area of diabetes, metabolic, cardiovascular, men and women's health.
- Strong scientific, medical, and technical skills in Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, and Medical Information.

- Ability to synthesize, interpret, and communicate scientific information effectively with HCPs and KOLs.
- Ability to engage customer relationship-building skills, and open to travel.
- Ability to use computers (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint) and related technology efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal leadership skills and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team internally.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and presentation skills.
