About the Role
As we expand across Southeast Asia, we are looking for a Regional Medical Director for Southeast Asia to shape the region's medical strategy, build high-performing clinical teams, and partner with business leaders to deliver exceptional care and drive sustainable growth.
This is a high-impact regional leadership role that offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of virtual care across Southeast Asia, influencing how care is delivered at scale across diverse healthcare systems and markets.
The Medical Director (SEA) is a key member of the Teladoc Health Asia leadership team. This role combines clinical excellence, regional leadership, and commercial partnership to recruit, develop and manage a network of top medical experts and Primary Care Managers (PCMs) across SEA; drive medical quality, governance, and innovation across Teladoc's care offerings in the region; and partner with the Managing Director, Asia and commercial leaders to support business development, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Operating Model & Expectations
This role operates across multiple Southeast Asia markets and requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. The Medical Director will lead both build and scale phases of the regional clinical network, navigating varying levels of market maturity.
The role is based in Kuala Lumpur with an expectation of on-site presence, alongside regional travel and cross-market collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and bring an entrepreneurial spirit—with the ability to build from the ground up, navigate ambiguity, and drive initiatives with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
