Medical Illustrator

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Medical Illustrator (or Visual Content Designer) to assist in creating visually-enhanced study guides for Mediverse an AI-powered learning platform for nursing and medical students. While the core content is already prepared by our academic team, your role will focus on transforming selected parts of the content into simplified visuals (e.g., diagrams, infographics, flowcharts, and basic anatomical sketches). This is not a full-scale drawing-heavy role the primary focus is on integrating visuals where needed to enhance understanding, not illustrating every page.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our content team to identify parts of the study guide that benefit from visuals.

• Design simplified diagrams, icons, and educational visuals to complement pre-written content.

• Ensure all visuals are medically accurate, student-friendly and aligned with our branding.
• Create visual elements that support infographics, mind maps, and key summaries.
• Optimize illustrations for digital formats (mobile-first design).
• Revise visuals based on feedback.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in medical or scientific illustration (portfolio required).

• Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.

• Proficiency in illustration software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or equivalent).

• Attention to detail and ability to communicate medical information visually.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Bonus: Familiarity with educational content or e-learning platforms.
