Medical Lab Scientist - Senior Histotechnologist

Key Responsibilities:

Proficient preparation of histological specimens for light microscopical examination by pathologists. These include:

• Preparation of specimens for gross examination.

Setup and operation of tissue processors.

• Embedding paraffin-processed tissue samples.

Sectioning, staining, and cover slipping paraffin-processed tissue samples using documented methods, as directed per Procedure Manuals.

• Performing a range of histochemical stains.

Providing assistance/training to other staff when required.

• Perform job-related duties as assigned by the Lab Manager/ Regional Lab Manager.

• Key Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Medical Lab Technology or Biomedical Science

• Able to work on rotational shift / on-call duties.

Min. 5 years of clinical experience of working in a Histo lab is ideal
