ABOUT THE ROLE
Sains Medika is the exclusive channel partner for EDAN in Malaysia, representing a comprehensive portfolio of medical imaging and diagnostic equipment.
In this role, you will drive business growth as a Medical Product Specialist which is a sales focused role. You will be responsible for promoting our range of medical equipment (including ultrasound systems, fetal & maternal monitors, ECG machines, and patient monitors) to hospitals in Central and Johor.
Prior experience in medical device or healthcare sales is a plus, but we are equally open to driven individuals from other healthcare related industries who bring a proactive attitude, natural salesmanship, and a hunger to succeed. Comprehensive product and clinical training will be provided. This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel within Central and between Johor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cover the Hospital and Primary Care market in assigned territories (Central and Johor) through regular, structured sales calls to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Prospect new accounts, identify business opportunities, and develop territory sales strategies in collaboration with your manager to meet assigned sales targets.
- Conduct product presentations and hands-on demonstrations, clearly articulating the clinical value and competitive strengths of our product range.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers — doctors, nurses, biomedical engineers, and procurement personnel.
- Execute promotional activities to reinforce brand awareness and address customer queries, while monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
- Deliver reliable after-sales service and collaborate with the Application Specialist team to ensure smooth customer onboarding and long-term satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of daily visits, pipeline progress, and sales activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience in healthcare related industries; experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with natural ability to build rapport
- Customer-oriented with strong follow-through and relationship management skills.
- Must possess own transport and be willing to travel extensively within Malaysia, potentially up to 2 weeks per month (non-consecutive).
