Job Description
- Conduct prudent medical and financial underwriting assessment on new business, endorsement/alteration and reinstatement applications. Ensure underwriting assessment adhere to underwriting authority, business rules & regulations, underwriting manual and service level agreement (SLA) benchmark.
- Attend to internal and external enquiries or referrals. Analyze the enquiry/referral, provide solution and respond according to turn-around-time (TAT).
- Participate in system UAT activity, project and assignment in New Business department
- Assist Manager in preparing department dashboard report and any other report as required for management or regulatory reporting.
- Support Manager and Head of Department (HOD) in new business operations and work towards department targets. Ensure daily processing compliance to SOPs, policies and regulatory requirements
- Undertake any other assignment, duty or project as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Job Requirement
- At least 2 years working experience in medical underwriting of Life/Takaful insurance, Critical Illness, Accidental and Medical related product.
- With substandard medical underwriting authority of minimum +50% extra mortality.
- At least Degree level. Academic background in medical related field is preferred (e.g. Degree in Biomedical, Bioscience or Science).
