Role Overview:
Asahi Holdings Southeast Asia is seeking an experienced M&A professional to support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments across the region. The role is execution-led and requires strong transaction management, financial analysis and stakeholder coordination skills, together with the ability to provide clear competitor and industry insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage M&A transactions from initial evaluation through due diligence, negotiation, internal approval, signing and completion.
- Build and review financial models, valuations, investment returns and scenario analyses to assess transaction attractiveness and key risks.
- Lead cross-functional due diligence, coordinate internal stakeholders and external advisers, and translate findings into valuation, structuring and contractual implications.
- Assess transaction structures, governance arrangements and key commercial terms, and support negotiations with counterparties and advisers.
- Conduct competitor and industry analysis, including financial benchmarking, portfolio assessment, strategic developments and M&A activity, to support transaction and portfolio decisions.
- Support post-transaction planning and monitor performance against the approved investment case, supporting the development of integration plans, transition arrangements and value-creation initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate M&A, investment banking, private equity or transaction advisory.
- Hands-on experience executing transactions through due diligence, negotiation, signing and completion; cross-border Asian experience is preferred.
- Occasional travel across the region is required.
