Job Description
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to acquire new corporate and commercial clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their financial needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing UOB's value proposition.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the bank and the client.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit risk, and operations, to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for new client acquisition and revenue generation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of corporate and commercial banking products and services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; proficiency in other local dialects is a plus.
