Job Description

Key Responsibilities

To be able to develop and validate the test methods and techniques.
To perform routine microbiology and nucleic acid analysis.
To generate, analyse, and interpret microbiological data and reports into LIMS.
To ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time and that the daily test result is produced accurately and precisely.
Ensure compliance to testing and QA/QC procedures.
Effective implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IEC 17025.
Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are to be appropriately maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
Maintain housekeeping, GLP and follow safety procedures in the lab.
Any other related ad-hoc assignment as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in Microbiology, or related discipline.
Certification: Preferably a Certified Microbiologist (registered under MJMM)
Experience: 1-2 years in in the related field is required for this position.
Must be honest, co-operative, able to communicate effectively with good human relation skill, team player, independent.
Must demonstrate quality in his/her work i.e. accurate, thorough and effective.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Multi-tasking and positive working attitude.
Must have the initiative and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
