Danica is one of the largest Life & Pension companies in Denmark. The Danske Bank Group is the largest financial institution in Denmark by total assets and one of the foremost in the Nordic region. Danske Bank provides a comprehensive array of services including banking, mortgage financing, leasing, real estate brokerage, asset management, insurance, and pension solutions.

The Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality software applications using Java technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software development, a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, and experience with Java frameworks.

Technical Requirements (Must Have):

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Java programming language and its ecosystems (Minimum Java 17 LTS or above)

• Proven experience in API, Database design.

• Experience with popular Java Spring Boot frameworks

• Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns (event pattern, factory, builder,etc.)

• Being able to showcase understanding with UML diagrams

• Knowledge and experience with relational databases (preferably MSSQL but MySQL, PostgreSQL are acceptable as well)

• Experienced with unit test writing

• Experienced with analytical and problem-solving.

Good to have:

•Experience with orchestration and integration development

• Experience with Camunda 8 and above

• Knowledge and experience with cloud services that are AWS and Azure

• Experience with Testing Driven Development or Domain Driven Development

• Experienced with integration tests.

• Being able to showcase microservices architecture understanding

• Experienced in designing and implementing microservices.

• Excellent communication with the ability to influence, negotiate and simplify complex topics

• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving and attention to detail

• Trusted adviser mindset with a focus on outcomes, value and user experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
