Job Title: Migration Architect
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Migration Architect to design and lead end-to-end infrastructure migration strategies for large-scale transformation programs. This role requires deep technical expertise across multi-platform environments, with a strong focus on minimizing business disruption while ensuring successful migration execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop the end-to-end migration strategy aligned with business continuity, downtime, and operational constraints
- Lead the creation of detailed migration runbooks, including cutover and fallback/rollback plans
- Provide architectural oversight across multi-platform environments (servers, databases, middleware, networks, etc.)
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment on migration approach and execution
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints throughout the migration lifecycle
- Ensure all migration activities are well-documented and aligned with program governance standards
- Support planning, testing, and execution phases of migration activities
- Provide guidance and best practices for large-scale infrastructure migration
Key Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in IT infrastructure
- Strong hands-on experience across multi-platform environments
- Proven track record of designing and executing at least one large-scale infrastructure migration project
- Expertise in defining migration strategies, runbooks, and cutover planning
- Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery considerations
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
- Strong risk assessment and dependency management capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Skills
- Experience in data center or cloud migration programs
- Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments
- Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
