Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Advisor role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Mortgage Advisor will guide customers through the end-to-end home financing process, including assessing borrowing needs, explaining mortgage products, and recommending suitable solutions aligned with customers financial goals. The role involves conducting detailed affordability assessments, preparing and processing loan applications, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The Mortgage Advisor will collaborate closely with branch staff and other stakeholders to drive mortgage sales, support marketing initiatives, and provide excellent customer service before and after loan approval. The position requires maintaining accurate records, monitoring application status, and proactively following up to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Mortgages and Mortgage Marketing, with the ability to advise on a range of home financing products.
  • Solid understanding of Finance and Financial Planning, including affordability assessments and long-term financial implications for customers.
  • CeMAP qualification or equivalent mortgage advisory certification is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail banking, mortgage advisory, or related financial services roles is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse customers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numeracy skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment, meet sales and service targets, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
