Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Consultant role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Mortgage Consultant will advise customers on mortgage products and solutions, assess their financial needs, and recommend suitable lending options in line with Maybank's policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, explaining mortgage terms and conditions, processing applications, and coordinating documentation with internal stakeholders. The role involves maintaining accurate records, following up on applications, and ensuring timely approvals and disbursements. The Mortgage Consultant will also provide high-quality customer service, build long-term relationships, and contribute to sales targets and branch performance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgages, with the ability to explain products and regulations clearly.
- Experience in Finance and Mortgage Lending, including assessing creditworthiness and evaluating financial documentation.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication, empathy, and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment, meet sales and service targets, and manage multiple cases concurrently.
- Relevant academic background in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications in banking or lending are an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic office software and banking systems, with strong attention to detail and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are beneficial for engaging diverse customers.
- Prior experience in retail banking, mortgage sales, or financial advisory is highly preferred.
