Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Specialist role based in Puchong. The Mortgage Specialist will identify and develop mortgage business opportunities, including generating leads through walk-in customers, branch referrals, and external networks. Daily responsibilities include assessing customer mortgage needs, explaining suitable mortgage products, and providing professional advice on loan eligibility, features, and repayment structures. The role involves guiding customers through the end-to-end loan application process, from documentation and preliminary assessments to submission, follow-up, and post-approval support. The Mortgage Specialist will also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure timely processing, maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and Bank policies, and deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Mortgages and Mortgage Lending, including loan structures, credit assessment basics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in Mortgage Marketing, including lead generation, relationship building with agents or developers, and promoting mortgage solutions to prospective customers.
  • Solid understanding of Finance fundamentals, such as income assessment, debt service ratios, and basic financial analysis relevant to retail lending.
  • Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and handle queries or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Banking, Business, or a related field is preferred; relevant sales or banking certifications are an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment, with strong negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Puchong, collaborate effectively with branch teams, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
