Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Specialist role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Mortgage Specialist will advise customers on mortgage products and solutions, assess their financial profiles, and recommend suitable mortgage packages in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include managing end-to-end mortgage applications, evaluating documentation, coordinating with internal underwriting, credit, and operations teams, and ensuring timely loan approvals and disbursements. The role will also involve active mortgage marketing through branch walk-ins, referrals, and outreach activities to grow the mortgage portfolio and achieve sales targets. The Mortgage Specialist will provide high-quality customer service, handle inquiries and post-approval follow-ups, and maintain accurate records in the bank's systems.
Qualifications
- Strong mortgage domain knowledge, including Mortgages and Mortgage Lending, with the ability to explain products and processes clearly to customers.
- Proficiency in Mortgage Marketing and Finance, with a focus on growing the mortgage portfolio while managing risk responsibly.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Experience in retail/consumer banking or financial services, particularly in home financing or related credit roles, is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfort working in a target-driven, fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with branch staff and cross-functional teams, and to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis.
