Summary
Fully responsible to monitor, review, manage, formulate mould modification plan and mould repair process.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish processes for new molds, document process development and changes, evaluating tool performance and monitoring new tool design.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, control plan, FMEA, troubleshooting guideline and other ISO related documentation.
- To prepare the Standard of Procedure (SOP), Tool Cycle Check (TCC)/ tool maintenance form and all related technical documentation.
- Accountable, lead and follow-up transfer of the mould inspection, mould transfer, ensuring the related information was provided and supporting the production team.
- Monitor the process of moulds running in production, troubleshooting problem moulds and assisting in resolving quality issues.
- Coordinate maintenance of moulds; specify repair or alteration of moulds and automation while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained.
- To prepare tool capacity and tooling performance review for the team in line with increase of production.
- Provide guidance, training and coaching to technicians on machine monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and improvement projects.
- Ensure 5S, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety & health protocols compliances.
Qualifications
- Education level: Degree in Engineering. Preferably Plastics Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- Year(s) of Experience: Preferable minimum 2-3 years related experience in injection molding environment.
- Capability: Demonstrates hands-on experience on processing, repair and replace molds and machine parts. Ability to set up and check work with precision tools and measuring instruments.
- Skill(s): Knowledge in analytical software (e.g. Minitab, design software, CATIA, AutoCAD, etc)
- Language: English and Bahasa Malaysia are must. Japanese and others will be an added advantage.
