Purpose Statement: Provides leadership and strategic direction to the Purchasing department.
Supports the team to achieve enduring goals of the department, site and region, while ensuring these remain aligned with corporate objectives.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing: Develops sourcing strategies to lower costs, manages preferred supplier programs, and negotiates contracts.
- Inventory Management: Oversees MRO inventory, including SKU rationalization in maintenance stores to ensure availability while reducing excess stock.
- Maintenance & Technical Oversight: Manages day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and improvement of production equipment, facilities, or aircraft/marine systems.
- Operational Optimization: Implements KPIs, analyzes production efficiencies, and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
- Vendor & Asset Management: Coordinates repair orders, manages vendor schedules, and tracks warranty claims
- Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values: Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in international business and 15+ years of SCM experience in the manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate without constant direction.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment across various functional business groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Strong Google Workspace or MS Office skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.
