This role focuses on enhancing and developing the arrangements of original songs, with a particular emphasis on string and piano parts. The melodies and lyrics have already been written, and initial versions were created using AI tools. The arranger will be responsible for transcribing, refining, and expanding these arrangements to prepare them for future studio recordings and eventual release with a vocalist. The position is remote within Malaysia, but applicants willing to travel are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe and develop string and piano arrangements for original songs based on provided melodies and lyrics
- Refine and enhance existing AI-generated arrangements to achieve a professional studio-ready sound
- Collaborate closely to ensure arrangements align with the creative vision and are suitable for vocal production
- Prepare detailed scores and parts for future recording sessions
- Adapt arrangements as needed based on feedback and project requirements
- Ensure all arrangements are ready for seamless integration with vocalists and producers
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience in music arrangement and transcription, particularly for strings and piano
- Strong proficiency in music notation software (e.g., Sibelius, Finale, MuseScore)
- Ability to interpret and develop arrangements from AI-generated demos
- Solid understanding of contemporary and classical arrangement techniques
- Excellent ear for harmony, structure, and instrumentation
- Ability to deliver high-quality scores and parts suitable for studio recording
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Based in Malaysia; remote work is required, but willingness to travel is a plus
